It was a promotion day to remember yesterday and what a start to life in the Index it was for Lyon striker Nabil Fekir!

Yesterday’s action on the Index was heavily influenced by the events taking place over in Serie A. The big winner from yesterday was Juventus hitman Paulo Dybala (£5.18) who was subject to a 16p increase on the back of his performance during Juventus’ 4-1 victory over SPAL 2013.
With all the hype we’ve had recently surrounding Leo Messi (£9.13) and what with the Argentine becoming the unparalleled king of the Index, it’s been easy to forget about another great of the game: Cristiano Ronaldo!
There were only 2 Premier League matches yesterday, but what a pair of games they were! It was a feast of goals during both games as Arsenal first of all smashed 5 past Everton and then Tottenham replied with a similarly emphatic 4-1 victory over Liverpool.
Morata has already smashed in 6 goals so far in the league, but yesterday it was another striker Chelsea had to depend on to bag the 3 points: Michy Batshuayi! (£1.10)
Yesterday was yet another day in which we saw substantial investment across the board, with new records and new barriers being broken throughout the day!
Even on the quieter nights in Europe, the Football Index continues to show masses of momentum! We saw further growth last night as the Footie Index ended 45.70 points up leaving the market at a whopping 8,897 points! We’re now just shy of 9,000 and today could be the day we break another barrier!
When it comes to racking up the buzz points there really is only one winner at this moment of time: Leo Messi (£8.64).
It was quite the day across the Football Index yesterday and with so many massive matches taking place, the market continued to react as the day unfolded.
