This weeks international break has England taking on the worlds best in some glamorous friendlies and first up is the team currently ranked first in FIFA’s standings, Germany. With the squad opening up on the Football Index I wanted to flag up some of the current stars of Die Mannschaft and see if they could be a good hold for the World Cup!
Where better to start than with Manchester City’s flying winger, Leroy Sane (£2.47) who is in the form of his life at present with 6 goals from only 7 starts for Pep Guardiola’s marauding Cityzens along with a further 5 assists. This form has seen him rocket 64p in the last month alone. Sane will undoubtedly be a huge threat to the Three Lions and will of course be someone to keep an eye on the Index!
The German National side is of course packed full of stars from Bayern Munich and some of these are well known to Indexers! Recently promoted Joshua Kimmich (£1.34) has been starring for the Bavarians of late and this is believed to have caught the attention of Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona. He is also a player with performance buzz potential with his average passing stats of 56 in the Bundesliga along with 4 assists and 1 goal. Will he shine at the World Cup?
Finally Liverpool’s swashbuckling midfielder Emre Can (£0.99) plays a key role for the national side and with his contract seemingly running down at Anfield, owing to the fact the club will not put a release clause in any potential deal, he seems an attractive options for clubs and Indexers alike in January as he will be able to sign a pre-contract with another club. Could be a good media buzz generator for the winter transfer window!
