Well, that certainly appears to be the case for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, who was seemingly left hung out to dry by his manager Jose Mourinho in Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Brighton on Saturday.
It all started in the first half of the Red Devils game with Brighton when Mourinho was seen screaming from the sidelines at Shaw. But even then nobody expected him to be substituted at halftime and replaced by Ashley Young (£0.99) and for this to then be followed by a post-match interview that was scathing of Luke Shaw.
Mourinho was incandescent with rage after the match, despite winning 2-0, claiming that his United players lacked personality and class! He also indicated that several of his team were simply scared to play and it’s little surprise that this appears to be an attack on Luke Shaw having been hauled off so publicly at halftime. Instantly peaking the interest of the media!
With the current 12-day media dividends ongoing it’s little surprise that traders have become extremely interested in Luke Shaw. So much so that Indexers have managed to get the left back promoted into the top 200 yesterday to make him eligible for some of those juicy treble dividends! In the last 24 hours, he has risen by 49p to his current price of £1.61 a future, equivalent to a 43% rise! Huge returns and as of 7:30 this morning he is sitting comfortably in second place of the media rankings just 10 points behind Cristiano Ronaldo (£8.60).
Having been lauded as the best left back in the league at the beginning of the year by his manager the latest Mourinho outburst looks set to rumble on. Dividends incoming?
