The final whistles yesterday marked the end of the league campaigns for a fortnight of international football. Depending on your national allegiances it is either an exciting period with the play offs for the World Cup or you are itching for the league to get back as you can’t stand the international breaks. Either way the upcoming fortnight is an exciting opportunity on the Football Index as it is treble media dividends until next Friday! So which players could profit over the coming days?
First up England’s glamorous friendlies with Germany and Brazil will undoubtedly attract the media’s gaze and who better than the current media darling and potential captain Harry Kane (£7.79). Despite drawing a blank against former England manager Roy Hodgson yesterday, the Spurs hitman is in the form of his life with large parts of the media calling for him to be captain outright. Kane will surely be aiming for double figure dividends over the next few days.
Likewise, Marcus Rashford (£3.98) is a Three Lion that the media loves and in the last international break his price shot up to £4.30 on the back of his standout performances. Meaning room for growth as well as potential dividends.
Another story that may dominate the media is Antonio Conte’s admission yesterday that David Luiz (£1.01) needs to work really hard to get his place back and that Andreas Christensen (£1.52) is Chelsea’s present and future! Having left the Brazilian out of the squad yesterday in the 1-0 win over Manchester United this story looks set to rumble on and on as Luiz looks to be the scapegoat for the poor performance away in Rome last week.
Finally a mention for media buzz darlings, Phillipe Coutinho (£5.11) and Alexis Sanchez (£5.64) whose futures are still not resolved which will surely generate buzz!
Best of luck with the 8p, 5p and 2p buzz wins!
