So the season is underway and we’ve already seen several teams standing out as being firm favourites to bring home the dividend bacon and one such club to look out for is Lyon. The French giants have been largely considered one of the best producers of young talent in Europe and with the likes of Karim Benzema (£2.17) and Alexandre Lacazette (£3.22) making a name for themselves at Lyon, it’s easy to see why. But it’s not just young, exciting talent that Lyon have going for them; they’ve also been handed a very favourable fixture schedule over the coming weeks, which could well have a domino effect when it comes to their team’s chances of winning dividends. Let’s take a look and see who they’ll be playing in the near future…
Perhaps the biggest draw for Lyon players at this moment of time, is the fact that the club will be playing their next 3 league fixtures on a Friday (with no other French league games taking place on each occasion) This is huge, as it immediately increases the chance of Lyon players winning Match Day Dividends, as they will have very little competition. When you take into account Lyon’s opponents during these matches (Reims, Strasbourg and Nice) and these can all be considered winnable fixtures for Lyon.
But who exactly are the Lyon stars who could benefit from this favourable fixture list? Well, we’ve already seen multiple Lyon players across the platform who have seen substantial increases in value this week and a quick glance at these players and it’s easy to see why.
Match Day Dividends are back with 3 games tonight 🙌
Lyon travel to Reims & should bring home the 3 points. Memphis Depay has been flying (along with plenty Lyon players) recently and for good reason. Top Forward Dividends are on the cards 🤑#TomsTipOfTheDay #FootballINDEX pic.twitter.com/CLbP6zLY2O

Memphis Depay (£4.52) has been the big winner for Lyon recently with an 85p increase in just the last week. Depay established himself as a key player for the match Day Rankings last season. With 24 goals and 21 assists in just 53 Ligue 1 matches, Depay’s worth to the side cannot be underestimated. If he can continue to produce numbers such as this, he will easily secure some Match Day returns again this season.
Meanwhile, ex-Chelsea attacker Bertrand Traore (£2.65) continues his upward trajectory with a 70p increase over the week. Traore is another player who has already notched up some impressive figures. Since joining the club, Traore has already managed 13 goals and having grabbed a goal last week, he looks like he’s picked up where he left off from last season.
Then you’ve got the hot-prospects Houssem Aouar (£2.66) and Tanguy NDombele (£2.20), both of whom have already established themselves as crucial members of this talented Lyon side. NDombele has the added benefit of already being linked to the likes of Man United and it’s likely that both these youngsters will be attracting some major interest before too long.
All of these stars don’t even take into account the talented Nabil Fekir (£4.97) who has been linked with a move to the Premier League throughout the summer. Fekir performed well when it came to the Match Day Rankings last season, but the added interest of a big-money move will surely mean he will be able to maintain his value in the long-term. Many of these Lyon stars will offer a huge opportunity for traders, as the lack of competition on this day will surely give their team a greater chance of bringing home the dividends. It certainly seems that some wily investors have already taken advantage of Lyon’s schedule over the coming weeks, the only question now is whether you will be too?
