Alexis Sanchez may not have had the best month in terms of his value on the market, but yesterday he proved that when it comes to the Media Ranking, you can never write off Man United players. Sanchez managed to halt Mohamed Salah’s incredible run of Media Ranking wins after the Chilean claimed top spot following numerous news outlets reporting that things at Old Trafford are rapidly going south for Sanchez! Sanchez is supposedly becoming isolated at United and he seems to cut a lonely figure in the dressing room. We heard these kinds of reports during his final few weeks at Arsenal, but it seems as though Sanchez is struggling to settle in at the moment. Still, every cloud has a silver lining and this news was a blessing for Traders holding Sanchez shares; as he stole a march on Salah for the dividend win, the Chilean saw some decent gains by 20p and he now sits at £4.35. Sanchez had fallen as low as £4.07 earlier in the week, so let’s hope this is the start of further increases in value!
We mentioned earlier that Mo Salah (£8.29) wasn’t quite able to steal another first-place finish for the Media Ranking yesterday, but having still managed a spot in second place, Salah’s price continues to rise and he is looking good to be hitting £8.50 before too long.
Another Man United man completed the lineup for the Media Rankings and it was the old buzz-magnet Paul Pogba (£5.54) who managed to grab third place. Now it’s safe to say that Pogba hasn’t exactly enjoyed the smoothest of relationships with his manager Jose Mourinho and it seems like the Frenchman is facing the ire of Mourinho once again. Yesterday we heard that Mourinho was apparently ‘unhappy’ with Pogba because he’d interrupted a news interview Mourinho was undertaking. Now I’ve seen the video and I have to say Mourinho didn’t exactly look unhappy, but it looks like the press are looking for any excuse to light the fuse, so let’s see if anything else comes from this one! Either way, Pogba’s name in the news has had a positive effect for the Frenchman, so let’s hope he keeps interrupting those interviews!
Although Man United dominated the Media Ranking, it was Gareth Bale who stole the show on the market. As predicted, Bale absolutely surged in value yesterday, as he leapt up by a very cool 38p in 24 hours. This movement came on the back of news reports that the Welshman could well be heading out of the Bernabeu come the summer. The recent buzz surrounding Bale has done on wonders for his value and he has seen a superb increase of 92p over 7 days! That’s some serious gains and there will undoubtedly be a fair few traders who will be very happy as a result of Bale’s current situation!
