Match Day 4

As the nights draw in courtesy of the clocks rolling back, the Champions League has nudged past the half way mark of the group stage and into match day 4. Tonight’s fixtures see some tough match ups for the home nations.

Chelsea have traveled to the Italian capital to face Roma who held the Blues to a 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture a few weeks back, thanks to an Edin Dzeko (£1.35) beauty! The Chelsea goals case from the returning to form Eden Hazard (£3.87) and he will surely be a threat once again tonight.

But all of the chat in the build up and yesterday’s media buzz winner was Alvaro Morata (£3.46) who first came out and said he hates living in London which was then qualified by saying he’d sign a 10 year contract if he could! Mixed signals! It looks a tough game for Chelsea and I think this may be a draw once more in what will likely settle the winners of the group.

Manchester United welcome Benfica to Old Trafford after their 1-0 win in the reverse fixture. That goal was Romelu Lukaku’s (£4.73) officially but only after young keeper Mile Svilar walked the ball into his own net! It’s hard to see anything but a victory for Mourinho’s men tonight and Lukaku looks primed for gold and potential buzz.

The other home nations side in action is Scottish Champions, Celtic who welcome Bayern Munich to Celtic Park. This is arguably the toughest fixture of the day as the Bavarians punished Brendan Rodgers side 3-0 in Munich. But the Germans have left star striker Robert Lewandowski (£2.77) at home after he lows off at the weekend. This likely means James Rodriguez (£2.00) will start in a false 9 system. I would expect Bayern to have plenty of the ball and are strong candidates for performance buzz.

Finally Barcelona travel to Greece to face Olympiakos and Juventus travel to Portugal to take on Sporting Lisbon, will Lionel Messi (£9.06) and Paulo Dybala (£5.27) shine?
