Neymarless PSG vs Los Blancos

There seems to be Football on every single day at the moment and tonight is no different with the return of the second legs of the Champions League round of 16’s. It’s back with a real humdinger this evening as PSG welcome Real Madrid to the Parc Des Princes with the Spaniards currently leading 3-1 from the first leg!

This fixture was always billed as a clash between two heavyweights with Neymar (£9.92) taking on the Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo (£6.94) in what is arguably the biggest fixture of the round. But as we all know Neymar has sustained a broken metatarsal in Ligue 1 and will not be present for the crucial match up tonight. The Brazilian should be back for later in the season and the World Cup but the world’s gaze will be on his teammates to see if they can step up in his absence!

The first leg saw the Parisiens take the lead before falling behind and perhaps naively chasing an equaliser at 2-1 only to be undone by a sucker punch as Marcelo (£1.92) struck late on to make it 3-1! So who will feature heavily and have a shot at match day dividends tonight?

It’s hard to not preview this fixture and feature the back in form Cristiano Ronaldo (£6.94). The Portuguese star plundered his 300th La Liga goal at the weekend and his form in the Champions League has simply never dipped! He’ll be looking to take centre stage once more! For the Parisiens, Uruguayan hitman Edinson Cavani (£1.91) and French superstar Kylian M’Bappe (£4.12) will be asked to find the net to close the aggregate score.

With such a glut of superstars on show there are so many options for match day dividends! Defensively it’s hard to not put a case forward for Dani Alves (£1.93) who is practically a right winger! In the middle of the park, Real will be hoping Toni Kroos (£2.80) is fit to start tonight and dominate proceedings from the midfield.

It looks set to be a titanic tussle between two European heavyweights with qualification for the treble match day dividend quarter finals sure to have a huge impact upon players prices! But the PSG, Los Blancos game isn’t the only Champions League tie tonight as Liverpool welcome Porto to Anfield for the second leg but have the comfort of a 5-0 away victory in their pockets. This makes it very tough to say how the Reds will line up, will the Egyptian King Mohamed Salah, a £6 club member at £6.27 be given a rest?

As a differential for match day dividends how about Danny Ings (£0.55) who should Klopp rest some of the front 3, may be given a start and at 55p seems low risk. The Portuguese side will of course be looking to reduce their arrears and Vincent Aboubakar (£0.89) will be one player they will be hoping puts in a performance!

Looks set to be another engrossing evening on the Index!
