Talisca On His Travels?

This weekend saw the domestic schedules in the world of football draw to a close which means we are firmly moving into the madness of the transfer window. In the Football INDEX world, that means Treble Media days and journalists churning out article after article on who may be signing who. This weekend showed exactly what is possible on Football INDEX.

It was late on Saturday night in Turkey when Besiktas manager, Senol Gunes, hinted that his star winger, Anderson Talisca (£2.11) had signed an agreement with a Premier League club that counts Everton as its rivals and so would be facing former Besiktas star striker Cenk Tosun (£0.80). It is the Everton comments in particular that has got football fans all over the world scratching their heads, does he mean the side from across Stanley Park, Liverpool or someone else entirely, only last year Jose Mourinho was said to want the star at Old Trafford.

What appears to have attracted the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United to be linked with the attacking midfielder has been Talisca’s fine season for Beskitas in the Turkish Super Lig, amassing 14 goals and assisting on a further seven occasions. He also struck four times in the Champions League earlier this season, showing that the attacking midfielder is able to deliver on arguably the world’s biggest stage. It looks like we will see very soon whether or not he can perform in the Premier League.

It was little surprise that this got tongues wagging across social media with speculation that two of England’s biggest clubs were said to be in the hunt for Talisca’s signature. The 24-year old’s price quite simply skyrocketed on Saturday night. The attacking midfielder was available for £1.16 a share on Saturday afternoon but come to the end of the night he was trading up a huge £0.76 at £1.92. A 65% increase in a matter of hours. Yet Talisca wasn’t done with just that, he is as I write trading at £2.11 a share, meaning he is up to £0.95 a share in less than 48 hours.

With the speculation of who he will sign for set to continue, how high could he go in value?
