New Board Members

Those of you who attended the Trader Meet on 21st September will know that we’ve beefed up our management team, with two great new board members with vast business and gambling experience between them.  They will be invaluable as part of our growth from disruptive start-up to polished challenger brand taking on the ‘big boys’.

Brian Mattingley – Non-Executive Chairman

Brian is the non-executive Chairman of 888 Holdings plc. He was non-executive Vice Chairman from 2006 until 2012 when he was appointed CEO until 2015. From 1997 to 2003 Brian was Group Finance and Strategy Director of Gala Group plc where he completed the acquisition of several bingo and casino chains as well as launching the company’s interactive business. Prior to Gala, Brian had a career in large-scale retail, holding senior executive positions at Kingfisher, Carrefour Limited, The Dee Corporation and Gateway.

Andrew Burns – Group Chief Financial Officer

Andrew was most recently CFO of Consolidated Growth Limited, a natural resource exploration company in West Africa and Zimbabwe. Prior to this, Andrew was CFO for Aim-listed Camec and Empire Online, the second-largest online poker platform in the world at the time. Before this he was CFO with FTSE-250-listed Luminar plc, having joined in 1997 from Rank Group. Andrew originally qualified with Price Waterhouse as a chartered accountant.

Mark Blandford – Cornerstone Investor & Board Adviser

Mark Blandford was one of the first entrepreneurs to develop the online gaming market in the mid-1990s.  Mark was the founder and CEO of Sportingbet, a company that he built to a peak market capitalisation of over £2 billion. Mark is a very successful private equity investor in a number of industries but specifically the gaming and Fintech industries. Mark is a founding partner of Burlywood Capital LLP.
