Spurs to Secure Champions League Football?

The games keep coming thick and fast as we reach the business end of the season and this evenings Premier League fixture sees Brighton and Hove Albion host Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex Stadium, with plenty to play for. Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to extend the gap on Chelsea in fifth place to a massive 10 points, firmly putting one foot in next seasons Champions League whilst Chris Hughton will be looking to edge closer to Premier League safety.

The North London side will be looking to bounce back from the 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Champions on Saturday evening and will be happy that they have an opportunity so quickly. It is impossible to do a preview of a Spurs game without looking at their talisman Harry Kane (£9.69). The England man had a very quiet game against Manchester City but he will be looking to secure the Premier League Golden Boot once again this season and he will be trying to add to his 25 goal tally and close the gap on fellow Index high flyer, Mohamed Salah (£9.41) and his 30 goal haul. Kane came in for a lot of flak on social media after reaching out to the authorities to claim the strike versus Stoke City recently and the striker will be looking to add to his tally without any question marks this evening.

Pochettino’s men will surely be seeing an awful lot of the ball this evening making several potential targets for match day dividends from within the squad. At the back the Belgian lynchpin, Jan Vertonghen (£1.70) will be looking to set the tempo of the Spurs attack whilst in midfield will Mousa Dembele (£1.29) be instrumental in threading key passes to the Harry Kane et al? Another option for Spurs is always Dele Alli (£3.86) who shone against Chelsea recently and despite a supposed quiet season has struck on eight occasions and assisted on a further 10 goals for Spurs.

The fixture certainly won’t be a walkover for Spurs and they will have to keep a firm eye on the bang in form Glenn Murray (£0.56) who has hit the back of the net 12 times so far this season and will be looking to continue this form to keep his name in the hat for Gareth Southgate’s squad in the summer. Elsewhere record signing Jurgen Locadia (£0.82) will be looking to announce himself on the Premier League stage with a fine performance. Can the striking duo stop Pochettino and his Spurs team in their tracks?

Tonight is actually a double match day with five fixtures happening across Europe. Most notably Barcelona travel to take on Celta Vigo and Inter Milan host Cagliari at the San Siro. Will the Argentine duo of Lionel Messi (£9.98) and Mauro Icardi (£2.60) hit the back of the net to take home those lucrative double match day dividends (£0.08 for position and £0.04 for star player)?
