Those wonderful people Football Index HQ have only gone and done it again! With summer just around the corner, yesterday saw the announcement of several exciting bonuses which has already got traders in a bit of a sweat! Let’s take a moment to assess what impact these announcements had on the market as well as taking a look at just how these bonuses will benefit traders.
With three separate bonuses and incentives up for grabs, the Index hierarchy has really outdone themselves this time! First up, traders have the incentive of a 10% Cash Bonus of their Net Buys up until 23:59:59 on 30th April. Remember that Net Buys are calculated by calculating the total of shares bought minus shares sold and then dividing this figure to calculate the 10% bonus. This particular bonus has a limit of £1000; not bad going at all!
As if this wasn’t enough, there will be a second promotion period from 1st May until 30th June in which traders have a further incentive of a 5% Cash Bonus from their Ney Buys, only this time the total maximum payout is up to a whopping £2000! This means that there is the potential for savvy traders to make back up to £3000 in total from these particular bonuses!
These bonuses are an excellent way of encouraging further growth and investment from traders across the summer months, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Index HQ had one more ace up their sleeve in terms of offers; we’re talking of course about the summer Media Madness! The decision to pay out the top 5 Media Dividend places is one which seems to have been met with much positivity by traders. From 1st June until 31s July, there will be a fourth and fifth place payout of 1p added to the Media Buzz. This represents a very cool increase in media dividends of 33% for this period.
The impact that this summer Media Madness offer had on the market was instantaneous. There was a plethora of activity and several major stars saw huge rises and in particular, it seems that those players with possible transfer moves over the summer benefitted most! Both Eden Hazard (£5.45) and Paul Pogba (£8.19) enjoyed significant increases in value by 49p and 46p respectively. With Hazard looking ever-more likely to move to Madrid, this was no surprise and we all know that Paul Pogba is the current king when it comes to media buzz.
Other well-established stars such as Mohammed Salah (£4.47) and Harry Kane (£4.08) also enjoyed big bumps in value and this may well be linked to the fact that they will be participating in the African Cup of Nations and the Nations League (and should thereby receive a nice helping of media coverage!) during the summer.
As mentioned previously, many of the biggest beneficiaries were those players who are on the top of many European clubs summer transfer lists. Portuguese stars Joao Felix (£3.74) and Bruno Fernandes (£2.08) have lit up the Portuguese league this season and they are already being touted with mega money moves to one of Europe’s elite this summer. Bruno Fernandes recently broke Frank Lampard’s long-standing record of goals for a midfield player in Europe, having netted his 28th goal of the season in all competitions. Fernandes form this year has been nothing short of phenomenal and his tally of 15 assists also shows that he is as capable of supplying them as he is scoring. The fact that Fernandes appears capable of scoring from set pieces is also an added bonus! Considering the form (and transfer links) of Fernandes and Felix, it was no surprise that they both enjoyed gains of 15p and 27p on the back of yesterday’s news.
The list of plays who made significant leaps in value makes for very nice reading this morning and many traders must surely be waking up to a sea of green today. In fact, all of this movement culminated in the Footie growing by a whopping 2537.74 points yesterday!
